As we pray, let's pray for the Church to realize the need for a long-range strategy that will prepare and send kingdom-minded people into the high places to provide righteous leadership.

Okay. I'll preface my reply with the following statement: I'm not a pastor, so I don't necessarily always say things in the most gentle way. I'm an evangelist at heart, whose primary objective is to delcare truth and allow the cards to fall where they may.....

Restoring people is a redemptive work of the cross, not a pass-time for the church. We can no more restore people than we can save ourselves apart from the power of God. Redemption and restoration must be based in Godly truth, or they are counterfeit. Therefore, exposing the homosexual agenda is not "ministering AT people," but rather declaring truth, which is the ultimate act of love.

Further, this is the REVOLUTION BRIGADE website. It's militant in nature, as the title suggests. We don't surrender ANY battle, even the ones that we will likely lose (at least in the short term), for the sake of saving face in the eyes of the lost and dying.

It's a call to pray, not to shout curse words and carry picket signs.

Let me preface this by saying that I don't think homosexual marriage should be legal; it's against the word of God - definitely.

But part of me can't wait for Prop 8 to be overturned and for California to legalize homosexual marriage. Every vote has been challenged, and they're not going to stop until it happens. Can we just admit that sooner or later it's going to happen, and let it go?

I feel like the more the Church fights this, the more bitter the "victory" is going to be for those pushing to overturn P8. It's going to be a big, "Finally, we've prevailed over the Christians!" moment and it's going to further alienate people from God's love.

Part of me can't wait for it to just happen, so the Church can stop lobbying and rallying, and get back to loving people and preaching the gospel of forgiveness.

I absolutely believe that we need to pray, that it's wrong, that we need to be a voice for morality in our society. But on P8 it seems like the cost is too high to just prolong the inevitable. When do we just let it go and minister TO people instead of AT them?
